I've spent my career researching one question: How do you build environments where humans and businesses both genuinely thrive, without sacrificing either?
I work with experienced coaches and leaders who know they're capable of more, but the old models don't fit who they've become or deliver what they want to achieve.
Through research, capability development, and frameworks, I specialize in helping you transform your expertise into something unmistakably yours. Methods, models, and impact that AI can't replicate and the market can't ignore.
From my very first days in corporate life, my first day as an accountant, I questioned what work was really about.
I remember laughing with a colleague at our desks. We were working and enjoying ourselves. A manager came over and told us to stop. People would think we were not working. Another time, I asked if I could read my induction materials outside in the sun instead of at my desk. No. It would send the wrong message.
I was genuinely confused. We were working.
That was the moment I realized something fundamental changed when people walked through the doors of organisations. Almost as if a separate world existed inside, operating by rules that made little sense anywhere else. I later called this my Corporate Door Theory.
It became the beginning of a lifelong exploration into how you create results that matter to individuals and business, and how environments shape people, often disconnecting them from their intelligence, judgement, and humanity.
I spent over 15 years working across finance, project management, corporate leadership, and complex delivery environments. I held senior roles including Manager of Corporate Services at Adelaide International Airport and Consulting Manager at Logica across Australia and New Zealand. I worked extensively in large-scale organisational change and was often brought in to fix major programs and projects that were failing to deliver.
Companies like Logica, Mincom and EIS were consulting environments, which meant I worked across many organisations. I saw every aspect of leadership you can imagine. The good, but mostly the bad. I saw the same patterns play out again and again across different industries, teams, and executives. It started to feel like groundhog day0
.
I watched endless amounts of money spent on training, consulting, and coaching programs to solve symptoms rather than root causes. Leadership training to fix engagement issues created by poor leadership. Coaching programs that tiptoed around the edges, built up egos and never addressed the real issues. Personality profiles to solve team conflict when the real problem was unclear accountability. Nothing changed. This continues today.
Meanwhile, capable people with real depth stayed invisible while those who talked confidently, sometimes alongside poor behaviour, rose faster. Frontline experience was ignored in favour of ideas that looked good on paper but failed in practice. Leaders overrode sound judgement to make their mark. Women with extraordinary expertise were consistently undervalued.
I was very successful in the work I did because I refused to ignore the reality of what I was seeing and the results I was getting. People, outcomes, money all mattered. I was able to connect the dots. I built teams that were productive, engaged, and loyal. We broke rules when we needed to. We created space for people to bring themselves to work. We focused on outcomes that actually mattered, not just the appearance of progress. I got results because I treated human capability and business delivery as inseparable, not competing priorities.
From 2014 onward, I conducted multi-year research with hundreds of coaches and their clients across the globe, spanning every discipline from healers and wellness coaches to leadership, executive, and financial coaches.
At the core of this research are the answers to so many questions that elude coaches. Why clients do not buy. Why they do not re-sign. Why coaches are not getting the client or business results they want. With the integration of my AI research, it now addresses what coaches need to be doing to stay ahead of the game.
The research showed clearly that surface-level marketing and branding do not build sustainable coaching businesses regardless of discipline. What actually works is structured expertise, clear client journeys, visible progress, and alignment between who someone is and how they work.
It also requires a reset as to what coaching is: using all your expertise and skill to support a client to get great results. This means bringing all of you to the table: coaching, training, consulting, guidance, whatever serves the client. It does not limit how you do it. This is the true definition of coaching before the life coaching industry changed it to a much narrower definition.
It also revealed that coaching colleges and training were misleading coaches about the ease of creating a sustainable business. After all, if you look at the research that says it is easy for coaches to earn lots of money, that research is done by the coaching organisations themselves, such as the ICF. In reality, building a coaching business does not happen by accident. The patterns that create success are not taught anywhere else.
That research, and its ongoing updates, are the foundation for Coaches Results Express, the methodology that informs all my work with coaches. It led to the co-founding of Coach Training Campus in 2021, where I work with experienced coaches around the world to build real authority, meaningful impact, and sustainable income aligned with who they are.
I do not separate human development from business reality. I do not separate thinking from delivery. I do not believe real change comes from templates, scripts, or borrowed models.
I am someone who has spent a lifetime learning. I hold a Bachelor of Economics with a major in Accounting from the University of Adelaide and am a Fellow of the Institute of Learning and Performance Asia Pacific. I have pursued extensive professional development in adult learning, andragogy, and goal achievement with leading researchers including Dr. Stephanie Burns.
I have studied philosophers and futurists like Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Florence Scovel Shinn, Viktor Frankl, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Peter Senge, Otto Scharmer, Ram Dass, and Eckhart Tolle. Not to quote them, but to understand the 'human condition' and how capability actually develops.
I have explored improvisation, theatre sports, and even stand-up comedy to understand how we operate under pressure, how teams create magic, and what visibility and confidence really look like. I wrote my first AI guide for coaches well before most coaches even knew AI was accessible to them. I take initiative. I stay ahead of the game. I do not wait for permission.
Most importantly, my work is built to remain effective as conditions change, rather than relying on paradigms developed for environments that no longer exist. When approaches stop working in practice, I adapt and rebuild them so they hold up in the conditions people are operating in now, while remaining fit for what is changing ahead.
The world has changed. The way we develop capability must change with it.
And, importantly, it means finding ways to achieve success that matters to you, while staying true to who you are and energised by the life you're living.
That is what I deliver.
This work is for people who know they’re capable of more than what their current results, recognition, or impact reflect, and who are no longer interested in surface-level answers.
You might be:
> An experienced coach with real depth and expertise who is ready to step into genuine authority and build a business that truly fits who you are.
> A leader or manager who wants to develop real leadership capability grounded in judgement, business understanding, and people, rather than mimicking someone else’s style or relying on models that don’t hold up in practice.
You might not be able to articulate exactly what is wrong with the development you have been through, but you know something is missing.
You have learned strategies, adopted frameworks. invested time and money but the results, confidence and clarity you were promised are not quite there.
Or you might be someone who knows there is a better way and is ready to be developed to a higher standard.
If you are looking for quick fixes, scripts, or something to copy and paste, my work is not for you.
If you are ready for development that integrates who you genuinely are with what you do and you genuinely care about getting results for you, your clients or staff and business, it probably is.

Justine Storey, Career Transition Coach
The world does not need more noise, more frameworks for the sake of it, or more people hiding their genius, passions and beliefs. It needs people who can stand up as the leaders and coaches, the change makers and experts, the world needs now.
AI is accelerating superficiality. It has never been easier to sound capable without becoming capable, to scale surface-level thinking, to look good on paper while failing in practice.
Without a diffent approach to development, development that integrates human depth with business reality and builds real capability, passion and alignment, instead of borrowed confidence, we risk a future where the wrong people lead and those with real substance remain overlooked.
My work exists to do just that!
